Our LUNA system is deployed at greenhouses in more than 15 countries, providing critical information like yield forecasts, pest detection, and germination rates to growers on mobile and web platforms. As an Assembler at IUNU, you will assemble and be hands-on with our robotic systems that operate with a high degree of reliability in the challenging environment of a greenhouse. You have a high attention to detail and a comfort with working with intricate components. Your curiosity and passion for engineering drive you to work cross-functionally, fostering a collegial and collaborative engineering culture.You’ll be joining our team in the SODO region of Seattle in the full-time hourly assembler role.

Responsibilities:
  • Assembly: Assemble small, delicate components according to detailed work instructions and engineering drawings.
  • Testing: Conduct functional tests on assembled units to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve assembly issues, working closely with engineers and other technicians.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of assembly processes and quality control data.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and product quality.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in precision assembly, preferably in the electronics or optics industry, or an applicable degree/certification from an accredited Technical Course or college.
  • Technical Skills: Strong hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of basic electronic components and assembly processes. Familiarity with quality control standards and procedures.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to follow precise instructions.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Teamwork: Effective communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with a team.
  • Physical requirements: Must be able to move boxes weighing around 50lbs. around the office/assembly area.
We’re looking for a candidate who values transparency in communication and is comfortable documenting and troubleshooting issues. You should be able to communicate effectively with team members, including summarizing decisions, test requirements, and root cause analysis. At the same time, you are comfortable with ambiguity and want to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
